RICHARDSON, HUG WIN SKILLS COMPETITIONS AT HOOPS FOR HOPE

LOUISA, KY — Ali Hug of Southwest Ohio and Austin Richardson of Louisa won the inaugural Free Throw contest and Three Point shootout respectively Friday night at Lockview Park to kickoff the 3rd annual Hoops For Hope basketball weekend.

Hug the only female participant beat out 13 other competitors as she went 9-10 to advance to the final and a perfect 10-10 to best 4 other shooters in the end.

Louisa native Richardson posted 12-15 to advance to the final round and then backed that up with another 12 out of 15 to walk away the Three Point shootout winner against 14 other shooters.

The 12 team double elimination 5 on 5 tournament were held at 8:00 Sunday morning and some team will walk away with $3,000 dollars Sunday night. Results were not available when this story was written.
