William “Bill” L. Hardin, 82, of Louisa, KY went to his heavenly home on Saturday, September 30, 2023.

Bill was the son of the late Solomon Jackson and Sally Hardin. He was born at Peach Orchard, KY. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters Gail (Vernon) Martin and Lucille (George) Sullivan and brothers Jack, Philip, Lawrence, Clint and Mack Hardin.

Survivors include his wife Janet Hardin; children William (Donna) Hardin and Karen (Henry) Estep; grandchildren Alex Hardin, Rachel Hardin, Jacob Estep, Jordan Estep, Paige Frazier, and Dylan Frazier; brothers Francis (Lynette) Hardin and George (Linda) Hardin; sisters Janice Webb and Ernestine (Don) Morford; and many nieces, nephews, and friends he loved.

Bill retired from Inco Alloys where he worked for many years. He was previously a school teacher at Peach Orchard for a short while. Bill was a former Lawrence County Kentucky School Board Member and an active council member for the Big Sandy Water District.

Bill’s favorite pastime was everything sports, but especially golfing. He enjoyed visiting and meeting new people. He never met a stranger and was loved by many. He will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at 1:00 PM in the Young Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Chuck Price officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM in the Young Funeral Home Chapel.

Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mr. Hardin and his family.
