Wilbur “Herbie” Skaggs, Jr., 59, of Martha, KY went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 12, 2021.
Herbie was born February 19, 1962 in Martha, KY to the late Wilbur and Gladys (Sparks) Skaggs. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother James Skaggs and sister Dianne Keeton.
Herbie was of the Baptist faith and attended many churches. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
Survivors include his wife Lois Skaggs; children Steven Todd (Kayla) Skaggs, Stephanie Nicole (Christopher) Cox, Julie Ann (Jacob Henderson) Skaggs, and Jared Isaac (Jeannie) Skaggs; grandchildren Nathan Cox, Trent Skaggs, Troy Thompson, Olivia Skaggs, Tyler Cox, Madison Thompson, Jocelyn Skaggs, Isabelle Cox, Hunter Skaggs, Sophia Henderson, Landon Skaggs, Nina Skaggs, and Levi Skaggs; sister Barbara Hall; and many nieces, nephews and in-laws that loved him dearly.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Elizabeth Baptist Church in Martha with Brother Roger Jordan officiating. Burial will follow in the Skaggs Cemetery.
Friends may visit the family after 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at the Elizabeth Baptist Church until time of services on Saturday.
