Kristie Johnson was served with a criminal summons for animal cruelty after an investigation revealed she abandoned dogs and horses when she moved to Ohio, leaving the animals without food or water.

A Webbville woman finds herself in hot water after Constable Paul Wells and Constable Daniel Castle received a multitude of complaints which led to an arrest and the recovery of stolen goods.

Kristie Johnson’s children have not been in school since last school year.

Kristie Johnson was served with a criminal summons for animal cruelty after an investigation revealed she abandoned dogs and horses when she moved to Ohio, leaving the animals without food or water.

Lawrence County animal control officer Jess Perry seized the animals a short while ago and they are taken care of.

While on scene, it was discovered that her three juvenile children have not been to school since last school year. She was also charged with failure to send the children to school.

In addition to an outstanding warrant for theft from Carter county, Constable Wells discovered a generator valued at over $2,000 inside the breezeway of a barn adjacent to the house. The investigation revealed the generator was reported stolen from a business in Ashland. Additional charges are pending as a result of this investigation.

Johnson was transported to the BSRDC.

She’s got that ” Oh s*** I’ve done it now” look.

She may only get a slap on the wrist for the animal cruelty, but everything else should get her a big fine at least.

Animal cruelty should be a felony in KY, it is many other places! Those poor horses look pitiful, she however looks as if its been awhile since she went without food! But I notice none of you seem to give a damn about the horses either, that is a good part of the problem! People in general have no compassion for loving creatures that cant help themselves, SHAME ON YOU! I’m not like you thank God, never want to be.

    It’s about time

Would think that be the headline
“Children not in school in a YEAR!!”, and with a little more emphasis put on that instead a dog left behind…smh

I feel the headline should be, Child back in school, animals safe and cared for, and R S Gussler left behind!

If she moved to Ohio, how did she get arrested in Webbville?? There are a bunch of facts missing from this story!!!

  6. Jessica Jones says:

Her ex husband was the one that left the horses with her. James should be in trouble right there with her. And speaking of the children, I heard that he has a child and his mother told him that he wasn’t ready to take that responsibility just yet! So neither one of them needs to have children or animals in my opinion. Real pieces of work right there.

  7. Christie W. says:

Yes James did leave them with her, and I agree with the previous comment, he is just as bad as her. He has a son in Wv that he has never made an attempt to see, so my guess is that neither of them are responsible enough to take care of animals ,and definitely not children! If you are a female and he ever approaches you..RUN! But I feel animal cruelty should be a felony in all states!

  8. Brit says:

Definitely a lot of missing facts in all of this. Can’t wait to sit in the courtroom and see all of this play out. These children are in school!

  9. Lillian Walkers says:

Look, What she did is kept her kids out of school because of James’s stupid ass And he shot a gun at her and her kids swat was their. With her sister in the house and her brother in law she was scared. Josh her new husband is keeping up the good work he works his best. All three of her kids have ADHD. And I think James should go to jail that is a crime that he shouldn’t have commit. That is Penal Code 245a2 – Assault with a Firearm is the charge that he would get. James should be in prison. I know were Kristie Is coming from.
