Webb gets life for murder of Blaine woman and her son

The family of the victims that Stanley Webb, Jr. shot and killed over a year ago at a Blaine, Ky. farmhouse, finally received justice last Wednesday. Webb was sentenced by Lawrence Circuit Judge John D. Preston to life without parole. 

Webb had pled guilty to shooting Lois Gartin, 79, and her son Michael at their home near Blaine, Ky. last Spring and stealing a vehicle that he then drove to Columbus, Ohio where he was captured by Ohio police.

The epidemic of Methamphetamine shows itself once again on the docket with at least ten docket items connected to the now widespread drug.

And Billy Keeton was sentenced to seven years with five probated as well as 90 days in jail and 270 days of Home Incarceration on charges of Criminal Abuse of a child.

OF SCHOOL, TAMPERING WITH PHYSICAL EVIDENCE, UNLAWFUL TRANSACTION WITH A MINOR, 3rd degree, RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY UNDER $500, PERSISTENT FELONY OFFENDER and POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA. Pretrial was set for 9-22-17.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Percilla A. BoggsPercilla Boggs, was sentenced to 18 months for COMPLICITY POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1st degree (methamphetamine) 6 months for COMPLICITY POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA and 6 months concurrent, but consecutive to a separate case for THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR SHOPLIFTING.

On a separate case: defendant was sentenced to 1 year to serve consecutive to case above for BAILJUMPING, 1st degree

Christina Collins, was arraigned on POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1st degree (methamphetamine) defendant to remain incarcerated until a bed is available.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Kelly K. CollinsKelly Kasey Collins, was sentenced to 1 year to serve for THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OVER $500. Pretrial diversion was set aside.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Crystal Dawn CordleCrystal Cordle, pled guilty and was sentenced to 5 years for COMPLICITY BURGLARY, 3rd degree and 5 years concurrent, but consecutive to other case for COMPLICITY THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING.

The defendant pled guilty to CONVICTED FELON IN POSSESSION OF A FIREARM and was sentenced to 5 years consecutive to other case. The defendant will be final sentenced on 9-22-17.

The defendant, upon a motion from the commonwealth moves to revoke probation.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Keith HammondsKeith Hammonds, pled guilty to the following charges and will be final sentenced on 9-22-17, 10 years for COMPLICITY BURGLARY, 1st degree, 3 years for each count of COMPLICITY CONVICTED FELON IN POSSESSION OF A FIREARM (2 counts), all concurrent, and PERSISTENT FELONY OFFENDER 1st degree was dismissed.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Carlos R. HayesCarlos Hayes, was present for a status hearing on RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY UNDER $10,000 and PERSISTENT FELONY OFFENDER, 2nd degree. Judge agreed to lower bond to 10% and case reset for 60 days.

LayTravis Lay, was present and arraigned, with a bond hearing on charges of possession of a controlled substance 1st degree, second or greater offense, operating motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to wear seatbelts and no operators license. On a separate case the defendant was arraigned on charges of COMPLICITY POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, FIRST OFFENSE, METHAMPHETAMINE AND POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA. Pretrial on that case scheduled for the same day.

Michael RatliffMichael Ratliff, was was sentenced to five years supervised probation on CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF A FORGED INSTRUMENT, 2ND DEGREE while persistent felony offender was dismissed.

On a separate case the defendant was sentenced to five years supervised probation consecutive to the first case on BAIL JUMPING, 1ST DEGREE, and again persistent felony offender was dismissed.

Stanley Webb Jr. Stanley Webb Jr., was present and sentenced to Life without the possibility of parole, (25 years) on each of two counts of MURDER. The defendant was also sentenced to 10 years concurrent on THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OF AN AUTOMOBILE and 5 years for CONVICTED FELON IN POSSESSION OF A FIREARM.
