Sheriff Rick Thompson stated that two men are facing drug charges in separate incidents.
Sheriff Thompson stated that Barry Mebane, of Genoa, was arrested last night for multiple warrants during a traffic stop. In addition Mebane is charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver – Crystal Methamphetamine and Pseudoephedrine Altered. Sheriff Thompson stated that the Wayne County Sheriff Drug Enforcement Unit has been investigating Mebane for some time and discovered a distribution quantity of Crystal Methamphetamine under his seat. The WVSP assisted on the stop and arrested Mebane for the (4) capias warrants.
Jason Johnson, of Crum, turned himself into a Magistrate for warrants for Possession with Intent to Deliver – Crystal Methamphetamine, Possession with Intent to Deliver – Heroin, and Pseudoephedrine Altered. The charges stemmed from an investigation by the Wayne County Sheriff Drug Enforcement Unit where they seized distribution quantities of Heroin and Crystal Methamphetamine that Johnson purchased in Huntington.
