Sheriff Rick Thompson stated that the Wayne County Sheriff Drug Enforcement Unit arrested (2) suspects today during a traffic stop in the Lavalette area today. Sheriff Thompson stated that at the time of the stop a passenger in the vehicle was packaging baggies of Crystal Methamphetamine to sell while
traveling South on WV RT 152.
The Wayne County Sheriff Drug Enforcement Unit seized a large quantity of Crystal Methamphetamine.
Jody Hynd, of Wilsondale, and John Adkins, of Lavalette, are each charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver, Conspiracy to Distribute 5 to 50 grams of Crystal Methamphetamine, and Pseudoephedrine Altered. Road patrol assisted on the stop.
John was currently on parole for Armed Robbery.
