Sheriff Rick Thompson stated that a suspect was arrested this evening after a vehicle pursuit.
The Wayne County Sheriff Drug Enforcement Unit attempted to catch up to a vehicle traveling South on US 52 when the driver accelerated and began passing vehicles at a high rate of speed.
Sheriff Thompson stated that the Wayne County Sheriff Drug Enforcement Unit placed the suspect in custody in Prichard.
Bernard ‘Bernie’ Hickman is charged with Felony Fleeing in a vehicle. Bernard was on Parole at the time of his arrest.
