Sheriff Rick Thompson stated that Terry Smith of Wayne was arrested today by the Wayne County Sheriff Drug Enforcement Unit after a vehicle pursuit.
Sheriff Thompson stated that the Wayne County Sheriff Drug Enforcement Unit initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle near the intersection of Centerville Road and Whites Creek. The suspect accelerated and was driving in the opposite lane. After a brief pursuit Terry was taken into custody.
Methamphetamine and pills were seized from Terry’s pocket. Terry is charged with Felony Fleeing and Felony meth possession.
