Sheriff Rick Thompson stated that today the US Marshal Cuffed Task Force arrested Kevin Napier, of Prichard, for warrants issued following an investigation by the Wayne County Sheriff Drug Enforcement Unit. The Kenova Police Dept assisted in the arrest.
The Wayne County Sheriff Drug Enforcement Unit seized a large quantity of Crystal Methamphetamine from Napier and Andrea Nix, of Fort Gay, during a traffic stop.
Sheriff Thompson stated that when the Drug Enforcement Unit initiated a traffic stop on the pair Kevin handed the Crystal Methamphetamine to Andrea and she concealed it in her underwear.
Andrea turned herself in last week.
Each are charged with Conspiracy to Distribute 5 to 50 grams of Methamphetamine, Possession with Intent to Deliver, and Pseudoephedrine Altered. Kevin will also face a Parole Violation.
Sheriff Thompson stated that he appreciates the cooperation of all agencies involved.
