Wanda Lee Rice Blevins

1952 – 2016

Wanda Lee Rice Blevins, 63, of Louisa, KY went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 26, 2016, surrounded by her loving family.

Wanda was born June 4, 1952, at Louisa General Hospital, the daughter of the late David and Elizabeth Ranson Rice. She was a retired Lawrence County School Teacher and an active member of Myrtle Chapel Church. She will be remembered for her loving, supportive, and encouraging nature.

Survivors include her loving husband Stuart Blevins, a daughter Elizabeth A. Blevins of Olive Hill, KY; two sons, David Blevins and wife Loni of San Diego, CA and Thaddeus Blevins and wife Rachel of Lexington, KY; three sisters Linda Ferguson of Ashland, KY, Joyce Burton and Marsha Shannon both of Louisa; two brothers Herbert Rice of Titusville, FL and Joe Rice of Lexington, KY; and a grandson William Thomas Blevins. Wanda also leaves behind a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday April 30th at 2:00 pm at the Myrtle Chapel Church with Rev. Ric Frazier officiating. Burial will follow in the Ranson Cemetery at Louisa, KY.

Friends may visit the family on Friday April 29th from  4:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Myrtle Chapel Church in memory of Wanda Rice Blevins. Mailing address for donations is Myrtle Chapel, c/o David Horn, 945 Mink Lane, Louisa, KY 41230.

Care has been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home.
