Louisa, Ky. — The Lawrence Co. Volleyball team has been so close in the last few matches against some quality teams but couldn’t get over the hump. Last Thursday night at home the Dawgs ( 6-15 ) put it all together for a 3-0 sweep of Boyd Co. ( 25-15, 25-14, 25-14 ) in front of a good crowd that was loud all match.
Isabella Handley had 5 aces, 4 kills, and 5 digs, Lexie Workman 2 aces, 2 assists, 4 kills, and 6 digs, Aryana Chapman 7 aces, 2 assists, 10 kills, and 7 digs, Holly Rowe 4 aces, 10 assists, 1 kill and 4 digs, Lillian Kinser 1 kill and 7 digs, Lexie Ratliff 4 digs, Hannah Goble 3 aces, 9 assists, 1 kill and 3 digs, Katelyn Boggs 1 dig in the win over Boyd Co.
The Junior Varsity also won vs Boyd Co.
Lawrence Co. will be on the road on Thursday night at Phelps and at Boyd Co. on Monday night.
The VolleyDawgs will finish out the regular season and honor the three Seniors next Tuesday night vs Magoffin Co.

“…Really proud of our girls, we played some different lineups vs Boyd Co. and I think it will help us down the road.” We got a lot of girls in the game and they are gaining valuable experience. I think we’re playing well at the right time. Postseason is right around the corner and we are excited.”
