A STRANGER IN NEED – IS A FRIEND INDEED…

Thank you Sherry Mosley for taking Susan to the laundry mat this morning and providing her with a brand new pair of shoes! She was bragging on how nice they felt! For all who inquired about helping her with laundry, thank you. Today was the first time she had done her laundry since she’s been homeless (since May) #susanpricehomeproject

New shoes for Susie!

Something wonderful is happening in Blaine, Ky.

…In a time when so many feel hopeless and unsure about the future…

Please keep reading and watching because I feel so blessed to share this story of love, compassion, empathy and hope… not to mention the selflessness. It makes it seem possible that the divide and evil that plagues so many can simply be overcome by people just like the people from our little community.

This, folks is why I love my Eastern Ky. roots…

Blaine Constable Daniel Castle helped in Susan Price getting the water tap hurdle completed.

Susan is a disabled 64 year widow who lost her husband to cancer and her home to a fire. She currently lives in a garden shed on her property. We are coming together as a community to help. Please consider donating. We need funds for water hookup, sewage hookup, electric, HVAC & material to turn a shed into a cottage! You can make donations directly to Unity Baptist Church of Blaine if you wish them to be tax deductible.

Sheriff Deputy Chuck Jackson bringing food, water and genuine compassion, states Mr. Castle

Daniel states:

“So far I’ve had 67 different conversations on messenger concerning #susanpricehomeproject. A lot you offered to bring clothes, refrigerators or building material. The absolute best way to help is to donate money. The reason why is we have teamed up with local business to deeply discount purchases material, so we can stretch every dollar. Another reason is we don’t want to end up with piles of unusable material that will go to waste.

I understand the hesitation to give as I’ve been taken advantage of in the past, so please understand I am not giving her money spend loosely. I am overseeing spending and approving purchases based on her long term needs and care. I believe in transparency and honesty when it comes to spending other people’s money, holding myself to a high standard is the only way.”

Check out their page, help Susan and show that we do come together in a small town with thanks to selfless people they are almost at their goal. See their facebook page, Susan Home Project or skip to their gofundme site!

Donations can also be made to:
