LAWRENCE COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT COVID-19 UPDATE
JULY 27, 2021; 4:30 PM — The CDC has recommended wearing a mask indoors, even if vaccinated, in areas where there is widespread transmission of COVID-19.
If you have not received your vaccine, Lawrence County Health Department is administering Pfizer vaccine (12 years and older) on Mondays and Thursdays from 8:15am – 2:30pm and Moderna vaccine (18 years and older) on Tuesdays from 8:15am – 2:30pm and Fridays from 8:15am – 11:30am. We are closed for lunch from noon until 1pm.

Mark…. Please read about the virus rather than listening to FOX News. The vaccine is not 100% effective. They never said it was. It lowers your risk but there is a chance of breakthrough infections. It’s just that you are less likely to get extremely ill or die but even some people could die. I don’t know if any vaccines or medications that are 100% effective but fir some reason, anti-vaccine folks expect THIS vaccine to be 100%. The new Delta variant (I know that’s a big word for you) is much more transmissible and has a much larger viral load. That’s the world of viruses. But if you ever read a science or medical article you would understand. It’s people like you that will cause this country to shut down again….
