TRUMP WINS LAWRENCE COUNTY, KENTUCKY ON WAY TO WHITE HOUSE

With all due respect we predict that it would take a quart of Lysol and a California sized towel to wipe the smile off Lawrence County GOP leaders like Phil Carter, Chris Jobe, Mike Hogan and county chairman Todd Dunn this morning.

The red is shining so bright all over the county, state and country that one can hardly see the clouds forming this morning after Donald Trump shocked the pollsters and beat Hillary Clinton for the U.S. Presidency. Clinton is still leading the popular vote this morning but the electoral college has declared Trump the winner and his “movement ” is ecstatic as Republicans now control all three branches of the federal government.

And on the state level in Kentucky once powerful House leader Greg Stumbo lost to newcomer Larry Brown and 30 year House Transportation chairman Hubert Collins both went down with the “movement” in a house cleaning by Republicans that swept many long time Democrat Reps. out the door. Much like in Washington, D.C., the State House in Frankfort now has a Republican majority and also controls the senate and the governor’s office. As of 11 p.m. Tuesday, the GOP led Democrats 64-35, with one seat still too close to call. The senate has a similar majority by the Republicans which has held steady for the past decade.

They did not like the Lesbian and gay movement, abortion on demand, ongoing war overseas and especially the disappearance of good paying jobs they have worked their hearts out for and have been abandoned with no place to turn and nothing to survive on but “promises.

The “movement” is obviously white anglo-saxon protestant men (WASPS) and their loyal wives who wanted their country back after hearing too much about the black vote, the Latino vote, the Muslim vote and the women college educated vote. They did not like the lesbian and gay marriage laws, abortion on demand, ongoing war overseas and especially the disappearance of good paying jobs they have worked their hearts out for and have been abandoned with no place to turn and nothing to survive on but “promises” all throughout coal country and the “rust” belt.

Polls have not yet been invented that can gauge these factors among proud men and women who are being pushed aside in the technology driven world and yesterday they took it back. It is still early and this may not turn out to be as earth shaking as it seems, but at least for a while the “movement” is basking in the bright red light Donald Trump has turned on.
