Truman Lee Salyers, 84, of Louisa, KY passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2023 surrounded by his loving family after a brief illness.

Truman was born August 23, 1938 in Louisa, KY to the late Chester and Hazel (Carter) Salyers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Marvin Salyers; two nieces and two nephews.

Truman was a member of Smokey Valley Enterprise Baptist Church.

Truman was retired from Lennox Industries in Columbus, OH. He returned to Louisa after retirement and enjoyed working on his farm and spending time with his family and friends. He was a loving and generous husband, father, and pawpaw. We will hold him in our hearts and remember our precious memories until we meet again.

He is survived by his loving wife of over 44 years Lana Gail Salyers; brother Melvin (Peggy) Salyers; children Betty Salyers, Tim (Shirley) Salyers, Rodney (Twila) Salyers, James (Stephanie) Salyers, Cindy (Rich Quinn) Salyers, and Stephen (Marsha) Sartin; grandchildren Chantelle, Ryan, Samantha, Daidra, Randy, Corey, Briena, Taylor, Haleigh, Colby, Connor, Chase, and Shane; nine great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, special cousins, friends, and his church family.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, July 22, 2023 at 3:00 PM at Smokey Valley Enterprise Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Myrtle Chapel Cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Saturday, July 22, 2023 from 1:00 PM until time of service at Smokey Valley Enterprise Baptist Church.

Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mr. Salyers and his family.
