MARTIN COUNTY SHERIFF DEPARTMENT WAS SERVING SEARCH WARRANT ON RESIDENCE IN PILGRIM AREA

(TOP TO BOTTOM) GARLAND RAY MILLS JR.,46; JOSHUA L. MOORE, 23; & JOSHUA ALLEN MILLS 34, ALL WERE ARRESTED IN DRUG BUST ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT IN MARTIN COUNTY, KENTUCKY;

Three men in Martin County were arrested on drug charges Wednesday evening, February 3, after deputies with the Martin County Sheriff Department said they found drugs while performing a search warrant at a home.

Joshua Allen Moore, 23, and Joshua L. Mills, 34, both of Inez, Kentucky; along with Garland Ray Mills Jr., 46, of Pilgrim, Kentucky; were all taken into custody by deputy Terry Tussey

Joshua Mills is facing the charges of:

  • TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (< 2 GRAMS METHAMPHETAMINE),
  • POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE)

 

Joshua Moore is facing a charge of:

  • POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 2ND DEGREE – DRUG UNSPECIFIED.

 

Garland Ray Mills Jr., is facing a charge of:

  • POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE).

 

According to the arrest citation, Martin County deputies stated Joshua Mills was sitting in the driver’s seat of a car when deputies arrived to perform the search warrant at the home.

While performing the search warrant, deputies stated they found a black zip bag containing baggies, a large bag of meth, a small scale and a small pink bag with a crystal-like substance inside a coat pocket.

The arrest citation further stated that the deputies also found in the passenger seat a wallet containing $330 and a scale found in the back floorboard of the passenger side.

Martin County deputies stated Joshua Mills told them he had two grams of meth.

While searching the house, the arrest citation states deputies found a loaded syringe in the bag belonging to Moore.

According to the arrest citation report, it stated that is when Joshua Moore told deputies it was Suboxone inside the syringe.

Deputies then found two more loaded syringes in the front bedroom of the house.

That is when deputies stated Garland Ray Mills Jr. told them the syringes were loaded with meth.

All three men were transported to and lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville. All three suspects posted their bonds and were released from the jail throughout the day on Thursday, February 4.
