TRAFFIC SWITCH BEGINS ON SCHEDULE ALONG THE MOUNTAIN PARKWAY IN WOLFE COUNTY, KENTUCKY

MOVE DUE TO START OF WIDENING OF THE ROADWAY, WILL BE LEADING TO TEMPORARY DELAYS FOR TRAFFIC IN THE AREA

APRIL 21, 2023 – written by WADE QUEEN

A traffic lane switch on the Mountain Parkway went into its scheduled effect, which began on Wednesday, April 19, 2023; to accommodate construction work to widen the Mountain Parkway in Wolfe County, just east of the city of Campton.

The traffic lane switch is near Exit 46, at the KY. 191 interchange.

The Mountain Parkway traffic lanes will shift for a short stretch to allow for ramp construction and fill work for the bridge.

Motorists might encounter temporary delays and should watch for flaggers.

A message board will be added at the location to alert drivers.

Motorists are encouraged to slow down and drive with awareness in all work zones.

Work schedules may be adjusted due to weather or other unforeseen events.
