Tolsia Head Coach Andrea Prince

COACH’S COMMENTS

“… I’m so proud of the hard work and dedication I’ve seen this team put in this season. We’ve played a difficult schedule, pushing our comfort zone and competing against AA and AAA programs. I believe the team is well prepared for the demands of our post season tournament. (Nov. 1,2,3 @ Tolsia and Crum) Now we just have to go in and play the game we’ve been playing and see how far it can take us. It’s an exciting time and I’m happy to be there with this team!”

“… Playing a sport for four years in high school and rising to the varsity level takes year round
commitment. Completing a high school season of daily games and practices from August to mid-November is emotionally and physically draining. It takes energy, enthusiasm and a solid work ethic. All of these character traits have been doubly tested upon these athletes in the past year and a half, as we have struggled through the Covid pandemic. Each practice the kids have lived with the constant threat of not being able to complete their season because of Covid-19. Yet, I have been continuously impressed by this team’s ability to keep working and pushing through the uncertainties of the current climate. The culture of this team is one of a commitment, trust and respect and if we can keep that alive through our post season play, I believe this team will go far.”

“… Three of these seniors went through the heartbreaking experience last year of being second in the sectional seeding, but denied the opportunity to play in the tournament because of the county’s color code on the state Covid map. They knew from the moment the regular season ended that this could happen, yet they never missed a practice between the end of season and the day that map was released.”

“… All of these seniors participated in various sports throughout the years and the four year players all played in Mountain Thunder Volleyball’s travel club”
