Fort Gay, W. Va. — #3 Tolsia ( 12-4 ) snapped a three game losing streak with a 43-38 victory over Chesapeake ( OH ) Monday night at Rebel Arena.

Kerigan Salmons led the Rebels with a game high 17 points including 8-8 from the charity stripe, Lynndsey Cassell tallied 10 points, Brooklyn Evans and Autumn Block had 6 points each and Gracy Snyder chipped in with 4 points.
The Rebels hit 1 three pointer and went 20 of 24 from the foul line.
Kate Ball led Chesapeake with 15 points, Brooklyn McComas 11 points, Emily Duncan 4 points, Robin Issacs and Erin Hicks 3 points each and Hannah Webb 2 points.
The Panthers ( 4-9 ) hit 4 three pointers and went 15 of 25 from the foul line.

The Rebels only trailed 28-27 at halftime on the road but went cold in the second half against the Miners.
Kerigan Salmons and Graci Snyder led the way with 11 points, Autumn Block tallied 7 points, Lynndsey Cassell and Julie Young had 5 points each.

In a WV HIT pool play game at Spring Valley the Red Devils came away with the double digit victory.
Tolsia was led by Autumn Block with 17 points, Kerigan Salmons netted 13 points, Brooklyn Evans scored 6 points, Lynndsey Cassell 5 points and Graci Snyder 4 points.
The Rebels hit 5 three pointers and went 6 of 9 from the foul line.
Calhoun Co. ( 10-4 ) was led by Josie Montgomery with 23 points, Savannah Cunningham 14 points, Trista Arnold 9 points, Joselyn Yeagar 6 points, Ella Hess 4 points, Madison Westfall 2 points.

“… Really proud of the girls for fighting through and getting the win tonight. Hats off to Coach Chris Ball, he is a former baseball player of mine and he does a great job and always has his team ready to play. Even though it wasn’t pretty I’m really proud of the effort and to comeback after trailing by 9 points in the fourth quarter. We need a win after three tough games last week and not much practice time. We should have three days of practice before we make the long trip to Union on Friday and then a Saturday morning game with Clay-Battelle to finish out the HIT weather permitting.”
“… It has been a struggle offensively for us lately and that’s hard to believe because we have some really explosive offensive players and for whatever reason it’s been rough on us. Maybe it’s my fault for not putting them in the right spots to score. Only 12 points at halftime and that’s not going to get it done. I thought our crowd really helped us in the fourth to get us going and just want to thank them for that it felt like a tournament atmosphere tonight. Really appreciate them for coming out and cheering us on.”
“… I want to invite everyone out on Wednesday at 5:30 here at Rebel Arena as Fort Gay and Crum middle will play and we will honor the 8th graders from each team. We haven’t done that but I think it should be annual thing and we are going to give them the full treatment, both programs are in good hands with Tammy Jarrells and Kelly Hundley at Crum and Ashley VanHoose and Martha Maynard at Fort Gay all former players of mine. We are excited it’s going to be live-streamed by Justin Prince and have a reception afterward for a future Lady Rebels.”
