After a Rebel punt on their possession the Raiders dented the scoreboard on a 13 yard Jeremiah Delong touchdown pass to Dalton Stacy for a 6-0 lead.

Early in the second quarter River View extended their lead with a 6 yard touchdown from Chanton Davis and Brady Hicks added the PAT and it was 13-0.

With under a minute left in the first half Robert Evans found his way into the end zone from 6 yards out on fourth down and Dakota Blackburn added the point conversion and Tolsia trailed 13-8.

Jessie Jarrell recovered the ensuing kickoff for Tolsia but the Rebels threw an interception to end the first half.

Early in the third quarter Delong connected with Kaiden Newberry for a 43 yard touchdown and Hicks added the extra point for a 20-8 River View lead.

On the next Tolsia possession Evans bullied his way in from 2 yards out to make it 20-14 River View.

River View extended the lead once again on a Delong to Newberry 22 yard touchdown to make it 26-14.

Luke Williamson scrambled and found Evans down field for a 75 yards touchdown to make it 26-20 River View with 16.0 left in the third period.

River View outscored Tolsia 23-0 in the final period

To open the final period Delong connected with Newberry for a to 30 yard TD and then found Dalton Stacy for the two point conversion to make it 34-20 Raiders.

After a Rebel turnover on downs Davis sprinted 69 yards for a touchdown and Travis Bailey added the two point conversion to make it 42-20 Raiders.

With 2 minutes left Davis scored from 7 yards out and Hicks add the PAT to set the final score of 49-20.

At this time the Rebels are outside of the playoff picture but an injunction has been filed by several counties throughout West Virginia, so the start of the playoffs could be delayed.

Tolsia Head Coach David Thompson

COACH’S COMMENTS

“… Just couldn’t get enough stops when we needed it. Give River View credit they answered every time we would get it within one score. Thought are guys battled like they have all year long. We had to move some guys around again this week and a bunch playing with injuries and some that probably shouldn’t have played but gutted it out.”

“… What ever happens with the ratings we have had a tremendous year and my hat goes off to all of the players and coaching staff for putting in the work and sacrificing week in and week out for the program.”

“… For the senior class I love everyone of you guys and can’t wait to see what the future holds. I know you guys will be successful what ever you decide to do. From losing 19 games in a row to winning 4 last year and at least 6 games this year depending what happens I applaud you guys for sticking it out and believing what we are trying to do”
