Sarah Jude was a four year starter for the Lady Rebels. Jude was also named Third team All State after having a great senior season. She averaged 16.5 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 3.5 steals per contest. She was a four year starter and eclipsed the 1,000 point mark earlier this season. Julie Boone will help lead the Lady Rebels as a Junior next season. Boone was named Honorable Mention All State after a good Sophomore season and came very close to averaging a double double with 9 points and 8 rebounds per game. Tolsia could have easily had a couple others make honorable mention with Senior Jacob Mollette and Freshman Lynndsey Cassell both having great years.

It was a banner year for Tolsia Basketball in 2018-2019 as both the girls and boys teams bounced back with big years on the hardwood. The Rebels went 16-8 and captured their first Section Championship since 2013 and fell in the Region Title game. The Lady Rebels went 15-8 and lost in the semifinals of the Sectional tournament in Overtime.

Tolsia Lady Rebel Head Coach Ric Morrone

“… Sarah Jude is one of the most versatile players in the state, she can play any position on the floor. She was all Cardinal Conference as a Freshman helped us to the State Tournament, also made All State as a Sophomore and Junior. Always played the biggest in the biggest games.”

“… Julie Boone is a very mobile post player with perimeter range. She can finish effectively with either hand and can play down low or at the high post. She also a presence on defense by blocking of altering shots and is a very good rebounder.”

Tolsia Boys Head Coach Todd Maynard

COACH’S COMMENTS

“… Well deserved recognition for Jesse. Jesse is only a freshman but he is a leader for us and a big part of our program. He had a great year. He finished shooting 48.3% from 2pt.
