TOGETHER WE ARE STRONGER: TAYLOR MESSER NEEDS OUR HELP

Taylor Messer, of Wayne WV, has been diagnosed with myeloid leukemia cancer.

She has put up a good fight and though these past few weeks have been very touch and go, she is doing much better. She will still be in the hospital and battling her illness for a long time to come.

On Oct. 25th every parents’ worse fear came true when the Messer Family had to go to Columbus Children’s Hospital while they flew Taylor there. She suffered from pneumonia, suppressing the bone marrow production. Her immune deficiency is what caused her struggle to beat the pneumonia. The myeloid cancer will require a bone marrow transplant.

Her father Tommy John Messer gave this most recent update: Nov. 4, 2018

“…Taylor has been in a pretty good mood thanks to the prayers. She has had some difficult questions, but she seemed okay after we answered those questions. She has had some nausea and not been able to keep the food she eats down, we changed her meds today and she is starting to keep food down, that is a good thing. She appears to be getting stronger and able to get up from her chair on her own now. We are almost through the toxic doses of that nasty chemo and we will be waiting to see how far down her counts go and how long it takes to recover. Let’s pray for her high spirits, she handles the recovery process well, which is when her blood counts will drop tremendously, and for the doctors to receive the wisdom to manage her care appropriately. The family thanks everyone who is praying for our little baby Taylor.”

Ft. Gay Mayor Joetta Hatfield posted this on FB and would like for others to share.
