ROCK (Raising Our Christian Kids) is an activity group geared toward homeschool students and small private school students. Public school children are welcome to participate. We do dances, festivals, field trips, and other activities to help our children interact socially with other Christian children.

Our third annual ROCK prom, An Evening in Wonderland, was held Friday evening, April 17th. We have so many who deserve recognition, and I apologize if I leave anyone out.

Praise God! Thank you so much to our Lord and Savior for making this possible! He deserves all of the glory! Thank you to everyone who prayed for this!

Thank you so much, to the ROCK group kids for deciding on the Wonderland theme. It was so much fun to decorate! These children are great. They are well behaved and respectful. They honestly make the jobs of the chaperons easy and enjoyable.

A huge big thank you to Trinity Christian Academy, specifically Mrs. Bonnie Hammond Boyd, for letting us use the school!

Thank you, Teresa Jobe for the food. You, Sister, are amazing! Thank you, thank you, thank you! God bless you! I would like to encourage everyone to donate to Commissioned Missions to help pay for mission trips to Mexico during the summer.

Thank you, Cindy Ostrander-Balch for all your help and for getting the Pole Homeschool kids and families involved!

Thank you, Mrs. Tammy Meade Lemaster for the beautiful teapots! The kids loved them and loved getting to take them home!

Thank you, Kenny Chaney for being a wonderful deejay. We sure appreciate you!

Thank you, Carreen and Chuck Arrington of Hometown Florist & Gifts of Louisa, Ky for the beautiful sashes and flowers for our prom royalty. Our King and Queen of Hearts were absolutely gorgeous!

Thank you, GaWanda Harrison Slate for taking photos! I am SO excited to see all of them!

Thank you, Jennifer Dheel for helping us with that floor. It turned out so well, and I am SO happy we chose to use it and that you could help us put it down.

Thank you, Pastor Jonathan and Mrs. Jeri Hall, of Emmanuel Baptist Church! We appreciate you praying with us and taking snapshots and helping to chaperon.

Thank you, Pastor Chuck Price and First Baptist Church for letting us borrow tables and chairs.

Thank you, former king and queen, Dakota L Vance and Virginia Conn for very graciously crowning our new king and queen, Patrick Whitt and Becky Carter.

Thank you to Xtreme Tumble for letting us party in the middle of the stinking night!

Thank you Sydney and Tara Thacker for volunteering time and supplies to do hair, makeup, and nails.

I would like to personally thank Mrs. Lola Bryant for everything she did for my girls and me Friday. We love you, Lola! Thank you!

And a huge big thank you to all of you who have helped with fundraising and decorating and making the kids beautiful and bringing plates and pop and cuts and everything and just plain getting this thing together and taking it all down and cleaning up! I absolutely couldn’t have done it without you! There were too many that helped decorate to try to name everyone, but I would like to say a special thank you to Billy, Juli, Segar, and Treygan Adkins, and to Gawanda and Jenny Slate. You guys were there almost as much as my girls and me.

Thank you all.
