Louisa, Ky. — On beautiful Friday morning last week the 2016 KHSAA Bass fishing state champs from Lawrence Co. Eric Price and Noah West were honored with a sign at the Yatesville marina and boat dock.

LC Fishing Coach Meddings, Eric Price, Noah West, Park Manager Missy Kennedy

The duo won the title as freshman back in May at Kentucky lake and were the first team this side of interstate 75 to win the bass fishing state championship.

New Park sign commemorates the event.

” We knew the boys fished out here and called the lake their home course and we took a lot of pride in that. Extremely proud of both of them and what they accomplished not only the Lawrence Co. team but those two individually.” Yatesville Lake Park Manager  Missy Kennedy said.

Park Manager Comments

I’m not really sure they grasp what they have done and how hard it was to win a state title. I’m sure down the road they will and we all are so proud.” We had talked to some people about doing something out here so we had a person step up and had the sign made we also had some help here at the park with a frame and post getting built for it. ‘ Bill Rickman ‘ we wanted to make sure it stood forever and make it known that these boys did such an awesome job and for everybody to see every time they drop their boat in the lake.” We take a lot of pride in this place, it is a beautiful place to come and fish so other things as well. We get tons of compliments daily and people really enjoying fishing here.”
