Fugitive captured in connection with investigation into murdered Pikeville officer
A Pikeville Police cruiser was parked outside Kentucky State Police Post 9 Thursday as officers prepared to take custody of John Russell Hall, 55, of Pikeville.
Hall was taken into custody after 11 Thursday morning by Kentucky State Police on a charge of a being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm and was being sought for questioning relating to the murder of Pikeville Police Officer Scotty Hamilton late Tuesday.
Hall was located in the Stoney Brook area of Pike/Floyd Hollow in the Betsy Layne area of Floyd County.
