MARTIN COUNTY, KENTUCKY MAN ARRESTED AT LOUISA HOSPITAL FOR CHILD ABUSE AFTER REPORTEDLY BEATING HIS GIRLFRIEND’S YOUNG DAUGHTER
SUSPECT TOLD STATE POLICE TROOPER HE WAS ONLY PLAYING “WWE STYLE” THAT LED TO HIM ‘ACCIDENTALLY’ HITTING THE LITTLE GIRL AT A HOME IN MARTIN CO.

A Martin County, Kentucky man was arrested late last week in Lawrence County on a child abuse charge, after police say he allegedly hit his girlfriend’s young daughter.
According to the arrest report by the Kentucky State Police Post 14 in Ashland, on early Friday morning, April 19, they dispatched a state trooper after receiving a call from Three Rivers Medical Center in Louisa to speak for an interview with a young girl about an incident that occurred on Staton Hollow Road in Tomahawk in Martin County.
When the child began to speak to the responding officer, KSP trooper Logan Layne, she told trooper Layne that Kevin Michael Litton, 35, of Tomahawk, KY., began arguing with her because she took one of his soda pop drinks. The girl told trooper Layne that Kevin Litton when he told her to “Come here, I have a surprise for you,” When she did, she told trooper Layne he held her down on the ground and began hitting her in the face with an open hand.
According to the state police report, nurses at the hospital all stated that the child’s injuries were consistent with physical abuse.
When trooper Layne spoke to Kevin Litton, he said that he had the girl pinned while they were “playing WWE,” when he accidentally hit her in the face.
Kevin Michael Litton was arrested by trooper Logan Layne, and he was charged with
- CRIMINAL ABUSE 1ST DEGREE-CHILD 12 OR UNDER; which is a Class B felony, because of the girl’s age, he faces a potential sentence of ten (10) to twenty (20) years in prison if convicted.
Kevin Litton was transported to the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, KY., in Johnson County, and was booked at 4:47 A.M., Friday morning. Kevin Litton posted his bond shortly thereafter, and he was then released later on Friday at 1:22 P.M.

The girls mother probably bought the soda’s with food stamps and the man is drinking them . Put him on the road or put up some money . He needs to stay away from daughter or go to jail for good . Where is girls father ? Put Social services in where she can get hurt again.
KY social services is a joke there has been three cases were social services were involved and in all three cases they didn’t do crap and four children wind up dead Kentucky social services is a joke I live in the state of Kentucky watch the news every once in awhile from here you understand what I’m talking about
lorie I FULLY AGREE WITH YOU!!! We have never been able to get help when we needed it for my bonus daughter at the other parents home since there was a lot of bad things going on and then they put her right back into the same dangerous situation right after! It’s horrible when you have a child begging CPS and court to live with the parents keeping her safe and they don’t care nor do they even bother to check literal mountains of evidence and that includes the judges and GALs in Louisville as well. Too many sweet babies dying and being brutally injured by evil people who don’t deserve children to begin with then the state still doesn’t learn their lesson! (Because they don’t give 2 shits about any child’s wellbeing, just money)

I agree, foodstamps,ebt is the same just a name change. He should be put in a jail/prison cell with someone bigger than him and met him okay WWE with him,which I’m sure he wasn’t doing to begin with. To deny a child a SODA makes you wonder if she was also denied food that went in his lard as* mouth. Probably one of those ( ) fill in the blanks as you may, that made the child wait to eat until he got to eat. This is absolutely ridiculous and for him to be out on bond is crazy. Hopefully the mother has enough sense and care to NOT let him back in her home.
I will not take up for this guy. Personally from what I’ve read I think he’s a POS. Bu I don’t see an issue with denying young children pop depending on a variety of factors. If the child is overweight, before breakfast, close to bedtime, or other factors. My youngest child is 4 and I let him have a little bit of pop from time to time. Not often and not large amounts. As a parent we have an obligation to look out for their health. Now me personally I won’t fix my plate of food until the rest of the family has and then I only eat extra after everyone else are done. I’d rather myself do completely without than for my kids and wife to not get the amount they want. I play wrestle with my little boy from time to time but nothing that would ever hurt him. He constantly laughs and sometimes will come over and try to get me to flip him over again. It’s always on the bed or a well cushioned couch and he’s placed down rather than dropped. There is playing with children and there is abusing children. What the guy in this story done was abuse. My child never gets a red place or anything and laughs and never cries. Playing is fun so if a child cries or exclaims in pain then you’re not playing. I’d like to show a little abuse to the fat guy here. I’ll tell the cops we were playing WWE.

Any one who hurts a child should not be able to bond out of jail period they wonder why so many kids are being hurt or killed that is why !! hopefully that little girl is no where close to where he is so he can’t hurt her as a revenge !!!! And I say it’s not the first time he has hurt this child just the first he has been caught !!! Put his fat ass back in jail where he belongs and if the mother allows him back around her child she needs to be charged as well !!! Stop letting these monsters hurt these babies!!!

Why do women, leave these men with THEIR children. They don’t love your children. If he has to move in with you, that means he don’t have nothing to give you but sex and your children are just collateral damage to you needing company not a man. You can do it yourself. Now the birth father will come out crying and appalled at what happened to his daughter, that he’s not there to protect. Man up and be PRESENT in your children’s life. These children are vulnerable because Dad is a non participant. I adopted all three of my grandchildren when I still had three of my own still at home.
