Yay, Rah, LAWRENCE COUNTY SCHOOLS!

LAWRENCE SUPT. ROBBIE FLETCHER SAYS LAWRENCE SCHOOLS BEST PLACE IN THE AREA FOR STUDENTS
Here’s what Fletcher wrote for an ad on a recent sporting event:
“…If you are looking for a variety of opportunities for your child, then look no further. The Lawrence County School System offers multiple, high-quality programs for their students. In the classroom setting, students can gain over 40 hours of college credit through advance placement classes and dual credit courses in mathematics, science, social studies, art, and English. In the fall of 2019, our students will have career and technical classes in nursing, engineering, agriculture, welding, carpentry, electricity, auto-mechanics, industrial maintenance, computerized manufacturing, and more. This also includes a JROTC program that has been evaluated as a program of high distinction and a distinguished band program. Through the support of our local businesses, students can obtain multiple hours of job-shadowing with surgeons, veterinarians, optometrists, family physicians, engineers, and many other careers. Also, Lawrence County Schools will be offering apprenticeships for our students in culinary arts and in computer technology. On the playing field, we have programs that continually compete for district, regional, state, and national recognition. Whether your child participates in softball, baseball, tennis, volleyball, academic team, basketball, soccer, track, golf, football, or bass fishing, students have the opportunity to compete, and to achieve, at the highest levels. In short, we expect every student and staff member to be “ALL IN” in everything we do.

Like always the cheerleaders get no recognition for all the hard work that they put in. But let them not cheer a ballgame and see what’s said. Let’s not even talk about all the injuries that they have.
Awesome they’re bringing back Voltec Classes that’s something kids need but Lawrence county schools are to crowded my children are in grade school needing to that work is crucial but it’s hard for them cause a teacher is trying to teach 22-30 kids one subject in 45mins is not doing to well. Lawrence county needs to go to block schedule 4 classes the first Two nine weeks then 4classes that would give students over an hour to learn that subject I know how much better it works I grew up here went to school here but when I moved to North Carolina I had never had better grades and my opinion was the fact I spent more time on fewer lessons than I had been is the reason I did great there
Robert- Did they teach Grammar or basic English in North Carolina when you were there?
