STOLEN VALOR: MAN ARRESTED THURSDAY AT WAYNE WALMART, AFTER ALLEGEDLY POSING AS VETERAN, “RAISING MONEY TO HELP OTHER VETERANS”

West Virginia State Police arrested a man who is behind bars after he was accused of posing as a military veteran, and selling hats claiming the cash proceeds would go towards helping other vets.

According to the press release report, the West Virginia State Police say Douglas Grant Snow, 64, address not listed, was selling the hats outside of a Walmart in the town of Wayne, in Wayne County.

Troopers said Snow had claimed he was a part of an organization called “Help Our Vets” and that Snow showed the state troopers a document saying that the organization was legitimate.

Troopers say the document had a forged signature of the Secretary of State of West Virginia.

Douglas Snow is charged with obtaining goods by false pretenses, a misdemeanor charge, and forgery, a felony charge.

Snow’s bail bond was set at $7,500. surety/cash. Douglas Snow also had an active warrant out of Braxton County, West Virginia. Snow’s bail bond on that warrant charge was $500. full cash only.
