A state police special unit has arrested a Pike County, Kentucky man on numerous child pornogrnpy charges.
The Kentucky State Police (KSP) Electronic Crime Branch located and arrested Gary Don Hampton, 46, on charges related to a child sexual abuse material investigation.
Gary Hampton was arrested as the result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) investigation. The KSP Electronic Crime Branch began the investigation after discovering the suspect using social media to engage in sexual conduct and communicating with whom he thought was a juvenile online.
The investigation resulted in executing a search warrant at a residence in Virgie, KY. on September 28, 2023. Equipment used to facilitate the crime was seized and taken to KSP’s forensic laboratory for examination. The investigation is still ongoing.
Gary Hampton is currently charged with five counts of possessing matter portraying a minor under the age of 12 in a sexual performance and 15 counts of possessing matter portraying a minor over the age of 12 in a sexual performance. Possessing or viewing matter portraying a minor under the age of 12 is a Class-C felony punishable by five to ten years in prison and possessing matter portraying a minor the age of 12 or older is a Class-D felony punishable by one to five years in prison. Hampton was lodged in the Pike County Detention Center.
If convicted in a trial on all the charges Gary Don Hampton from 40 years to up to 125 years in state prison.

A Pike County, Kentucky man facing federal child porn charges has been found mentally and psychologically competent to stand for his trial.
Bill Daniel Combs, 39, of Pikeville, KY., is charged with production and possession of child porn. He was arrested initially on state charges in March 2021, and then federal charges in June 2021, and has been held in custody at the Laurel County Detention Center in London, KY. since July 2023.
Bill Combs was negotiating a plea agreement earlier this year, when his attorney noticed he didn’t seem to comprehend the charges against him. However, a psychological exam determined Bill Combs is competent.
Bill Combs is due back in federal court for a hearing on Thursday, October 12, 2023, when a new federal trial date will be determined.
This is sickening. There’s plenty of trashy women these men could pick up.. Leave children alone.. just go ahead and execute them!
