TOGETHER WE CAN ENSURE THAT EVERY COMPANION ANIMAL ENJOYS A LONG, HAPPY, AND HEALTHY LIFE IN A LOVING HOME

Louisa—Nationwide each year millions of unwanted pets are born, and far too many of these pets become strays and/or find their way to shelters and end up being euthanized. But this doesn’t have to happen…not in our community.

In addition to helping reduce the overpopulation in pets, spaying/neutering your pet has many added benefits:

–Spayed or neutered pets feel less of an urge to roam, and are less likely to be in accidents, get in fights, and so on.
–Male dogs will be less inclined to bite.
–Both male and female pets face less risk of developing certain cancers.

And there are added benefits to you and our community:

–Spayed/neutered pets have a happier, healthier, longer life.
–Reducing strays reduces the threat of rabies, dog bites, and other health and safety issues in our community.
–Reduces “unwanted visitors” in your yard who are attracted to your female pet.
–Spayed/neutered pets are typically better behaved, calmer, and more affectionate than those that are not altered.

Join thousands of responsible pet owners nationwide to help promote and support “Spay/Neuter Awareness Month” in February.

If you can’t afford the cost of having your pet spayed or neutered, there are low-cost clinics in our area which can help. Contact these local providers for information:
