LOUISA, KY —  Lawrence Co. Girls Soccer (16-1) advanced to another District Championship game with a 10-0 mercy rule victory over Pikeville ( 3-13 ) Monday in the first round of the 58th District tournament at the LCHS Soccer Complex.

Jordan Stepp led the victorious SoccerDawgs with 4 goals, Kylie Maynard and Zayla Granillo finishes with 2 goals and 2 assists each, Ellie Webb contributed 1 goal and 2 assists, Jasmine Justice 1 goal, Emily Webb 1 assist and Hayleah Fletcher 1 assist.

Belfry beat Shelby Valley in the second game by the score of 7-1.

Lawrence Co. and Belfry will meet at 6:00 Wednesday for the 58th District Championship at the LCHS Soccer Complex.

COACH’S COMMENTS

“… Great way to start the district tournament here at home. We came out determined to put the game out of reach early.”

“… We will have to come out prepared to play a good Belfry team in Wednesday’s championship game. As a head coach I couldn’t be more proud of how hard the girls have worked this season. We are ready to bring home another district title.”
