That began a shootout with Rowan Co. that made the second half very exciting.
Trenton Adkins came up huge on the game stopping 2 out of three penalty kicks and had 17 saves total. Luke Johnson cracked two volleys to score from outside the 18 foot mark in addition to his assist. Tyler Maynard finished with 2 goals and SJ Lycans hit a Penalty Kick.
The Dawgs will play for a 58th District Championship against Belfry in Pond Creek on Thursday night at 8:00. The two teams split during the regular season. Belfry won 4-3 in Louisa and Lawrence Co. won 1-0 in Pond Creek.

“… The season has gone by fast. We are looking forward to the District tournament next week at Belfry. We came into Senior night knowing Rowan Co. has won some tough games, they beat Johnson Central 9-1 and Corbin as well.”
“… The first half was slow for both teams and we were tied at Halftime, Coach Maynard and I talked about winning balls and moving and it didn’t take long for our guys to respond in the second half.”
“… It was an all around effort for our seniors to win on senior night.”
