The age range of the bicycle riders was from 5 yrs old to over 65 years old proving that bicycling is an exercise for all ages!

From left, Pastor Dan Smith, Bob Wells Wes Kingsmore, Cathi Kise Wells, Hayden Bowen, Shana Snook, Mayor Harold Slone, Pastor Scot Hoeksema.

The high temperatures may have played a role in the small crowd that gathered for the “Back to School Bike Bash” but that didn’t stop the crew from having a great ride.

Hayden Bowen, a kindergartener from Fallsburg Elementary School, was the only school-age participant! The age range of the bicycle riders was from 5 yrs old to over 65 years old proving that bicycling is an exercise for all ages!

At the suggestion of a few of the riders, the bike ride expanded to a full 10-mile ride taking in parts of Fort Gay, WV as well as Louisa. Hayden, the 5 yr-old, hung with the crowd for almost 2 miles!

The next Trail Town activities will be a Kayak and Short Hike on Sunday, August 19th at 2:00 PM at the Primitive Campground at Lawrence County Campground (PLEASE NOTE TIME CHANGE!).

The next bike ride is scheduled for Sunday, September 2nd at 3 pm at Louisa Main Street Park.

Please check out the Louisa/Lawrence County Trail Town Committee FaceBook Page for more information on all Trail Town activities.
