SHOOT HOOPS NOT DRUGS MAKES STOP IN LOUISA

Louisa, Ky. — Former University of Kentucky basketball player Jarrod Polson welcomed over 100 kids to Lawrence Co. high school on Thursday afternoon for a Free regional basketball skills camp that is centered around shooting hoops not drugs as the former 2012 NCAA national champion and four time All-SEC Academic member is teaming with UNITE and the Kentucky national guard.

Provide a safe, drug free activity with the opportunity to interact with positive role models. Reach 1,000 school age youth during 2017.

All school age youth invited to participate. All youth received a free t shirt and basketball.

Over 100 kids participated in the free camp on Thursday at Lawrence Co.

If you missed the one in Louisa you still have four more chances.

  • Monday June 12 at Pulaski Co.
  • Tuesday June 13 at Letcher Central
  • Thursday June 15 at Menifee Co.
  • Tuesday June 20 at Lee Co.

“… Our camp objective is to give positive, anti drug and self esteem messages in conjunction with basketball skills instruction.” Have 85 percent of youth participants pledge to remain drug free, enlist 125 volunteers to help with the camp.”
