Shirley L. Elswick, 74, of Louisa, KY went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at her home.

Shirley was born September 12, 1947 in Louisa, KY to the late Nelson and Esta (Cooper) Thompson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother.

Shirley was a loving Christian woman. She attended Fullers Ridge Community Church. Shirley loved her family and friends and enjoyed cooking big meals for them. If your feet were under the table at Ms. Shirley’s, then you were blessed. She had a beautiful singing voice and spent most of her free time singing praises and Worshiping God.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years Raymond Elswick; children Raymond (Crystal) Elswick, Jr., Annette Elswick and Lincus Elswick; grandchildren Tasha Highbaugh, Jessie (Jon) Marshall, Shea Lagos, and Aaron Elswick; step grandchildren Hannah Blankenship, Daniel Blankenship, and Sara Blankenship; great grandchildren Reagan Highbaugh, Ryann Highbaugh, Anastasia Lagos, Angelina Lagos, and Alex Lagos; one sister; and three brothers.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, January 9, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the Young Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Tommy Adams officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens.

Friends may visit the family on Saturday, January 8, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Young Funeral Home Chapel.

Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mrs. Elswick and her family.
