LOUISA, KY. — Former Sheriff Garrett Roberts made this statement concerning his retirement effective immediately last night. He has retired from the Lawrence County Sheriff Office. He made this comment on FaceBook Monday, December 31st.
“Today a 30 year career comes to a close…. it has been a journey… started at the bottom and finished at the top… I thank the good Lord for keeping me safe all these years…. My wish is that all those who come in the future trust in Him and the things will be done…. Thank You Lawrence County for allowing me to be your Sheriff.”

Garret was nice and all but I think he was stale in his job. Kind of like he held the title but had given up on the job. I can’t think of anything he really did in the past few years.
