Bronx, New York — After being sent back to Triple A Norfolk without making an appearance Louisa native Chandler Shepherd is headed back to the Majors and will be with the Orioles tonight in New York to face the Yankees.
Shepherd spent a couple days on the Baltimore roster in July before making two starts with the Tides and during his time he was named International League Pitcher of the Week.
Shepherd pitched 12 1/3 innings over two starts against Gwinnett and Indianapolis going 1-1 giving up 9 hits, 1 earned run, 2 walks and striking out 14 batters.
