Sheila Allene Newsome 

1957 — 2018

 

Sheila Allene Newsome 60 of Louisa, KY passed away Thursday March 8, 2018 at her home following a sudden illness.

Sheila was born March 30, 1957 in Boyd County, the daughter of the late Harold and Dorothy Allene McKnight Newsome. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a brother Harold Newsome and a nephew Chad Newsome.

Survivors include the love of her life Odis Burchett, a daughter Dorothy Maynard and husband Jason of Inez, KY; a son James Vanhorn of Bunker Hill, Indiana; three sisters Nyoka Chaffin also of Louisa, Taniea Delong and husband Buddy of Grayson, KY; and Karen Newsome of Louisa; three grandchildren Savanna Spence, Jason Maynard, and Garrett Vanhorn; a great grandson Ayden Spence.

Graveside funeral services will be held on Saturday at 1:00 pm at the Greenlawn Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Hughes officiating.

Care has been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home.
