On Saturday afternoon in the last pool play game it was LC beating East Ridge 13-2 in five innings. In the third place game on Saturday evening it was Barren Co. from Western Ky. over the Lady Dawgs 15-0 in three innings.

Lawrence Co. will travel to Magoffin Co. tonight and host Shelby Valley on Thursday night.

Lawrence Co. Junior Brittany Shapaka

“… I’m really excited and thankful at the same time that we got out with a win, I knew that I had to step up and be a leader. I saw the pitch and just tried to put a good swing on it and it ended up going out of the park.” After the weekend that we had I was pumped up all day ready to play tonight.”

Lawrence Co. Sophomore Abby Fletcher

“… You really had to make adjustments this week with the pitching that we have faced in Phelps and Pike Central, you have to wait back and try to drive the ball to the opposite field and I think we did that after the first time through our lineup. After a slow start we really put some good swings together. Undefeated in District play is the key right now.”
