SHAPAKA AND BOWEN HIT BACK TO BACK DINGERS, BULLDOGS CLINCH #1 SEED

Brittany Shapaka and Ciana Bowen both went yard at Pike Co. Central Pikeville, Ky. — Brittany Shapaka hit a three run homer, her third of the year and Ciana Bowen went right behind Shapaka with a solo shot her eighth of the season to lead Lawrence Co. ( 13-10 ) to a 8-2 victory over Pike Co. Central ( 14-10 ) on Wednesday night.

With the win Lawrence Co. wrapped up the #1 seed in the upcoming 60th District tournament which will be held at Home.

Bowen went the distance on the mound to pick up the win.

The Lady Dawgs are 5-0 in District play with one game left at Phelps on May 11th.

Lawrence Co. will return to action on Monday and Tuesday with home games vs Magoffin Co. and West Carter.
