FRANKFORT, KY. (January 07, 2021) – The Senate Majority Caucus has announced the committee assignments for the 2021 Regular Session of the Kentucky General Assembly. Senator Phillip Wheeler (R-Pikeville), will serve as chairman of the Senate Standing Committee on Economic Development, Tourism, and Labor.

Senator Wheeler will also serve as a member of the Senate Standing Committees on Judiciary; Natural Resources and Energy; State and Local Government; and Transportation. Additionally, he will serve as a member of the Capital Planning and Bond Oversight Advisory Statutory Committee.

“I am excited to be back in Frankfort and for the honor to continue serving the 31st Senate District,” said Senator Wheeler. “I appreciate Senate Leadership placing trust in me to serve on these important committees. Good legislation is made through these committees. I look forward to working with my colleagues on legislation that will help address the many challenges Kentucky is facing.”
