On July 23rd, 2020, Ashland Police Department executed a search warrant on an electronic device belonging to Curtis Anthony Maynard, age 40 of Ashland, Ky. Multiple images and videos were located depicting child exploitation. Maynard was indicted on 5 counts of (KRS 531.335) Possession of / view matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor and 7 counts of (KRS 531.20 (2B) Promoting a sexual performance by a minor (Under 16).

On August 4th, 2020, a second search warrant was executed at the residence belonging to the suspect as well as the residence belonging to the suspect’s parents.
During the search of the home belonging to the suspect’s parents, electronic evidence was concealed and later attempted to be destroyed by the suspect’s mother.
On August 5th, 2020, an arrest warrant was obtained for Margaret J. Maynard, age 63 of Ashland, Ky for 1 count of (KRS 524.100) Tampering with physical evidence.
The investigation is ongoing pending further charges.
