SCHNEIDER TRUCKING Company names Big Sandy CDL program PREFERRED TRAINING PROVIDER

HAGER HILL, Ky. – Big Sandy Community and Technical Colleges CDL program was recently named a Schneider Preferred Training Provider.

Phoenix Summers, (left) a representative from Schneider Trucking Company presented a Schneider Preferred Training Provider banner to (L-R) Leo Fell BSCTC CDL instructor, Danny Wallen CDL student, Neil Fairchild BSCTC CDL Instructor, James Blanton CDL student and Justin Thacker CDL student.

Schneider Trucking Company started in 1935 in Green Bay Wisconsin by Al Schneider and has since grown to employee over 17,000 employees. The company hauls 21,000 loads per day and travels over 9 million miles.

“We are very proud to be named a Schneider Preferred Training Provider, it shows our dedication to our students and to the trucking industry” said Leo Fell, CDL Instructor.

The CDL program at BSCTC was started in 2005 and has since trained 358 drivers that transport goods and materials all over the country. BSCTC was also instrumental in starting the CDL program at Hopkinsville Community and Technical College in 2016.
