Ruth Elizabeth McKenzie

1924 – 2017

Ruth Elizabeth McKenzie, 92, of Louisa, Kentucky passed away Thursday, February 16, 2017 at the Kingsbrook Lifecare Center in Ashland, Kentucky.

Ruth was born February 22, 1924 in Greensboro, North Carolina, a daughter of the late Robert Alexander and Maggie Dunn West.
Ruth was a homemaker and was a member of the Louisa First Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe McKenzie; and son, Joey McKenzie.
Survivors include, two sons, Jerry (Elizabeth June) McKenzie of Savanah, GA; Johnny Mack McKenzie of Webbville, Ky.; daughter, Brenda (Paul) Moore of Louisa, Ky.; brother, Alton West of North Carolina; 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted 1:00 pm Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Greenlawn Cemetery, Louisa with Pastor Leo Dalton officiating.

Visitation will be Sunday, 11am – 12:30 pm at Young Funeral Home.
