Louisa, Ky — Russell ( 3-1 ) jumped all over Lawrence Co. ( 2-2 ) on Homecoming and coasted to a 41-12 victory Friday night at Luke Varney Jr. Memorial Stadium.

The Red Devils scored the first 27 points of the ballgame including 20 in the first nine minutes and led 27-0 at the half.
In the third quarter Bulldog QB Baden Gillispie scampered 25 yards to the end zone to make it 27-6 with 2:32 left.
Late in the fourth Trevor Young went in from 4 yards out to set the final score at 41-12 with 1:56 left.
Young was the leading rusher for Lawrence Co. with 67 yards on 14 carries, Blue Fletcher 6 for 66 yards, Gillespie 16 for 58 yards, Brody Cantrell 2 for 7 yards, Brandon Fitch 2 for 2 yards, Danny Hall 2 for -1.
Gillespie went 3-4 passing for 3 yards.
Hall 1 catch for 10 yards, Lawson Baisden 2 catches for -7 yards.
Lawrence Co. will be off next week before hosting Pikeville ( 4-0 ) on September 27th.
Russell will host Montgomery Co. ( 1-3 ) next Friday night.
