Ruby J. Watts, 75, of Fort Gay, WV went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 26, 2022.

Ruby was born April 15, 1946 in Wadsworth, OH to the late Ephram and Susie (Cyrus) Newsome. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Elmer Watts Jr.; daughter Sheila McGranahan; son in law Rick McGranahan; and daughter in law Angel Watts.

Ruby was the best mother and grandmother any one could want. She loved her family. In her free time she loved to garden. Ruby was a retired Environmental Supervisor from Wayne Continuous Care.

Survivors include her children Elmer (Sally) Watts, III, David Watts, and Ruby Ann “Punkin” Watts; grandchildren Callie Lou McGranahan and Danielle Raelynn Watts; siblings Dorothy Bell, Beatrice Jackson, Liz Shy, and Howard Newsome; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at 1:00 PM in the Young Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Kenny Bailey and Pastor Noah Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in the Watts Family Cemetery.

Friends may visit the family on Monday, March 28, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Young Funeral Home Chapel.

Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mrs. Watts and her family.
