Ruby Burchett Cantrell, 67, of Louisa, KY went to be with the Lord on October 1, 2019 at Hospice Care in Ashland, KY.

Ruby was born September 13, 1952 in Louisa, KY to the late Okey and Geraldine Burchett. She was preceded in death by one brother, Timothy Vaughn Burchett.

Surviving family members include her loving husband Dale Cantrell of Louisa, one son Donald “Dean” (Rachel) Adams of Louisa and one daughter Lorrie (Ralph) Spriggs of Flat Gap, KY. Three brothers; that include Dave (Tina), Glen (Iris), & Mike (Donna) Burchett all of Louisa. Five sisters Eva (Ralph) Newsome, Linda (Wayne) Wright, Doris (Richard) Cook, Carol (Dale) Whitaker, & Kim (Jay) Childers all of Louisa. Her grandchildren include Timmy (Jordan) Adams, Hali (Chad) Rose, Deanna (Sam) Griffith, Blake Jordan and Taylor Spriggs. Two great-grandchildren Fischer Owen Rose and Beckett Samuel Griffith.

Family was the most important thing in Ruby’s life but receiving the title of “Mawie” from her granddaughter Taylor made her the happiest.

Ruby attended both Fallsburg Tabernacle & Morgan’s Creek FWB. She had multiple animals she cared for on a daily basis but Harley, Lacy, & Tay-Tay were her most precious.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at 11am at Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Greg Caudill and Rev. Bobby Workman officiating. Burial will follow in the Burchett Cemetery on Morgan’s Creek.

Friends may visit the family on Wednesday, October 2, from 5-9pm at Wilson Funeral Home.

All care has been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home.
