Romaine Bowens, 93, of Louisa, KY went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at her home.

Romaine was born August 7, 1925 in Wayne County, WV to the late Lawrence and Hazel (Copley) Chaffin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Howard Bowens; sons Willis Bowens and Willie Bowens; sisters Ethel Harless, Ruth Endicott, Eula Grace Chaffin, and Wanda Gaye Hodge; and brothers Garland Chaffin and Lloyd Chaffin. 

Survivors include her children Ronnie (Belle) Bowens of Fort Gay, WV, Judy (Truman) Evans of Louisa, KY, Wilfred Bowens of Louisa, KY, Teresa (Dale) Parsons of Louisa, KY and James (Mindy) Bowens of Paducah, KY; 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; sisters Delsa Evans of Ohio, Shirley Gartin of Louisa, KY and Beulah Chaffin of Ohio; and brothers Charles Chaffin of Ohio, Wilkie Chaffin of Wayne County, and Jim Chaffin of Wayne County. 

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, November 8, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Young Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Charlie Acord, Brother Noah Robertson and Brother Darin Fetherolf officiating. Burial will follow in the Copley Cemetery in Webb, WV.

Friends may visit the family on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at the Young Funeral Home Chapel from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. 

Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Ms. Bowens.
