Morehead, Ky. — Recently graduated Lawrence Co. football player Aaron Roberts participated in the 12th annual Northeastern Kentucky East/West all star game held at Morehead St. University on Friday night.

Roberts played on the East squad who came away with a 20-6 victory. He had 5 tackles in the contest.

Jordan Johnson of Lawrence Co. was also invited but could not play because he had an appendectomy Sunday night.

“… It was an amazing experience, I met a lot of great players from the different schools around the area. It was weird playing with the people that I played against earlier this season but it was definitely an eye opening event to get to see all the talent from the region. Although I won’t be continuing my football career to the next level it was an honor to represent LC and to represent the 40th Calvary one last time on the field.  Before we started practicing it was originally supposed to be me and Jordan Johnson playing for LC but unfortunately he had some health issues and he wasn’t able to play, he’s doing better now and I just thank god for his recovery.”

” Also I’d like to thank LCHS coach Alan Short and his coaching staff for all the hard work they put into the program and the care and loyalty they have to the players.”
